All-Day Author Visit: K & 1 assembly focusing on “Where Did Frog on a Log Come From?” (seed idea, puppetry); 2nd assembly focusing on Winter’s Gift (author’s purpose, acquiring new knowledge, symmetry, playing game of “Crystal Concentration”); 3 & 4 assembly focusing on Endangered (becoming animal advocates, habitats, things kids can do).
• Nov. 28 & 29, 2017 –
Washington West Elementary, Olean, NY. Two All-Day Author Visits: Headstart, BOCES PreK, PreK using Bear Facts (sing-along, follow-up activity “Whose Fur Is It?”); K & 1 using Bear Facts (sing-along, follow-up activity “What Do Bears Eat?’ little book); 2 & 3 using Bear Facts (writing workshop on animal adaptations, habitats, and becoming lyricists).
